OneAV’s new copy editor Kirsty Jennings gives us the lowdown on team OneAV’s 2019 Amsterdam adventure…
OneAV with its UK and German teams were proud to be exhibiting at Integrated Systems Europe (or ISE) for the third year running, and not only were we the only UK distributor with a booth at ISE, but we also had the biggest stand we’ve ever had for OneAV! Believe us when we say it was our busiest year yet, with visitors from as far as New Zealand and Nigeria we were thrilled to have such an extended reach! Many of our stocked brands have new, upgraded, and exciting products in 2019 to show off to our amazing client base, new and old! We went to ISE with an aim, so check out what our staff had to say about the event and what you should be on the lookout for!
What did we showcase?
We showcased a range of products on our stand this year, including:
Just Add Power
Commercial AV installers in particular were attracted to the newly unveiled 3G+ 767DSS Dante® Enhanced Sound System HDMI over IP Transmitters. We took pride in showing off the incredible abilities that Just Add Power can bring to your video distribution projects. Want to offer the client something new? Use the power of 4K HDR support and videowall mode to impress potential and existing clients without the risk of losing out on that all important quality. The problem that you may be facing right now when trying to showcase your products or ideas is a loss in image or sound quality. The Dante® has improved audio distribution just like Just Add Power do with their video distribution and together, they can provide incredible benefits for integrators such as reduced costs because you’ll no longer need to buy new equipment.
Pixelgen (THX certified)
Pixelgen is something that everyone should be investing in, and that’s simply because of how well it exceeds the regular HDMI cable and how well it’s helping 4K home cinemas grow. The problem with HDMI is that the longer the lead, the harder it is to transfer the data and again, experiencing a loss of quality for images, sound and videos. Being THX certified, Pixelgen can offer 4K guaranteed for home cinema systems, meaning that there’s no loss of quality within the cinema you’ve spent so much time and money creating.
Showing off PANCONNECT was definitely something we needed to do this year at ISE for the benefit of businesses. They’re the only Czech manufacturer of all-metal table top enclosures, and they can make presentations much smoother in the sense that they will help reduce clutter on your desk, and also make you look super professional. Nobody likes a mess of cables on their desk and when you’ve got a lot of accessories to use, it can quickly become a jumble of cables and chaos. That’s where PANCONNECT come in. Imagine being able to offer your clients wireless charging within their own homes? There’s something very attractive about having the ability to charge your phone without any effort whatsoever. With a quick and easy installation of just 10 minutes, you can turn your office from madness to serenity.
What surprised us the most?
We saw plenty of people at ISE and were constantly kept on our toes, but the one thing that surprised us the most was how interested people were with our wireless charging points (oh, I do wonder why) and how well these charging points created conversation. Not only were people able to take advantage of charging their devices, but they were also interested in the products we’ve got on offer. It allowed us to connect with both new and current customers and we absolutely loved it.
We also had plenty of existing installers approach us to check out the new updates that have been made to our products. We were really pleased to hear that consumers felt like they had been listened to and they appreciated the fact that their feedback had an impact on our products.
What was the star of the show?
PANCONNECT without a doubt, stole the show at ISE this year. Partly due to the fact visitors could take advantage of our wireless charging points, but also because of how amazing this product is. As you know, it’s a neat little way of ensuring that your desks stay neat and tidy, but they also come in a range of designs to suit your personal taste. They come with the choice of three different colours, and you can choose whether to fully integrate your system or not. You even have a choice of what kind of corners you’d like!
ISE was a huge success this year and if you happened to come along and have a chat with us – thank you for doing so! We loved every second of it and can’t wait for Integrated Systems 2020 where we are back in hall one on booth 1-N134!
