Field Business Development Manager

Salary: dependent on skills and experience | Based in Malvern HQ (WR14)

The Role - OneAV is looking for a new Field Business Development Manager. Reporting to the Sales Director, the role will be focused on developing a channel strategy to increase sales revenues for the growing portfolio of brands and maximise profitability for the business. The business views this role as having potential to grow to Head of Channel.

You will identify target accounts not currently in place and work with existing accounts to ensure OneAV is a key partner. Although in the early stages, calling accounts will be key, you will also develop a weekly appointments schedule to meet face to face and develop key relationships with these and other dealers or dealer groups. Action plans, OKR’s and targets are co-developed to improve on the profitability of the account, and where lessons learned, applied to other accounts. You shall provide insight to the leadership team on how the existing portfolio covers the potential market opportunity and identify where gaps in the range need attention.

You are a relationship focused individual with the capacity to identify potential and close-out business. You also feedback on alternative distribution opportunities outside of current dealer list. You will manage all important aspects of the new business relationship like forecasting, allocation, order automation, store and contract set up. You will also work with the internal sales team to ensure smooth transactions for the customer and the business. Based on distribution plans for new products, you will monitor the progress of new products or supplier brands in the commercial channel.

Requirements

  • Mix of sales executive / category management / business development roles, >5y
  • Proven people management experience
  • Proven experience of leading complex sales programs
  • English fluent
  • Knowledge of CRM tools
  • Strong excel and PPT skills
  • Project management tools and principles and clean driving license

Location

The ideal candidate for this role lives within a 1 hour drive to HQ, based in Malvern. The role will be a mix of HQ based, with market visits. It’s expected that initially HQ will be your place of work whilst you build call-plans.
