The four HDMI inputs each support up to 4K@60Hz resolutions with HDR, routing to two up/downscaling HDMI outputs as well as one HDMI Audio output for audio extraction, with support of DTS:X, ATMOS and more. Vertex² offers unique and exclusive output management to accomodate Android TV and is capable of auto-switching sources that send a constant 5V in standby mode (unique in the world).
Software-wise, any web browser based device such as computer or smartphone can be used to access, control and update Vertex²; the process is as easy as visiting a web page.
HDfury - High Performance Signal Management for A/V Installations
Hardware-wise, the Vertex² features four HDMI inputs, two scaling HDMI video outputs and one HDMI audio output. It features control options via LAN, RS232 and IR as well as an OLED display and four push buttons on the side, allowing to enter/exit and perform change in the device system menu.
Vertex² offers an unique and exclusive output management to accomodate Android TV and such sink devices that perform annoying checks, thus providing a constant signal for the display to not go into stand-by.
All inputs are capable of 4K HDR/HLG/DV/LLDV/HDR10+ up to 18Gbps for video and support any sound format in existence today.
One of the two HDMI outputs can downscale the signal to 1080p / SDR, while the second HDMI output can upscale to 4K@60Hz. The dedicated HDMI audio port delivers the full audio signal in combination with a 720p / 1080p black image video output.
Vertex² is always running in a Matrix/Scaler mode ensuring your setup remains optimized at its best capabilities.
Software-wise, Vertex² provides full control via the embedded HDfury webserver!
The need of a dedicated computer with special drivers and installations to run configuration software or updates is now a thing of the past!
You can use any web browser based device such as computer or smartphone to access, control and update Vertex², the process is as easy as visiting a web page.
Vertex² is also equipped with revisited and improved HDR management features as well as TMDS switching for all inputs! This allows you to autoswitch sources that no other switching device on the market is able to autoswitch.
Additionally Vertex² can physically cut any output via software trigger.
Vertex² now supports sound extraction from ARC and eARC signals directly from the TV! Signals up to Atmos HBR or TrueHD are being forwarded to any AVR input via the HDMI audio output.
All HDfury legacy features remain present, such as individual EDID config, HDCP conversion, scaling and signal operations such as chroma/color depth/color space alterations, infoframe injection and extraction, CEC commands, ARC, HTPC mode, special modes, sound extraction and many more.
All setup information is visible at first sight via OLED screen, OSD or Webserver.
Suitable for all setups
Vertex² supports any HDMI, HDCP and HDR sources / sink devices and operates in-between to ensure all equipment works at the best capabilities.
Simply connect source and sink devices with the right port and add power, Vertex² does the rest. It's really not complicated!
Unlock HDCP 2.2
Enjoy all the advantages of HDCP2.2 protection and keep or convert it channel-independently to suit any HDMI sink device regardless of the HDCP version.
Info is Everywhere
Any setup info is always available at first sight: Whether it is on the device's OLED, the OSD or the brand new HDfury Web Server App for iOS & Android.
Control Vertex² using a tablet, smartphone or any other web browser based device.
Share your configurations with the community, display any text on the OSD, setup your start page, remove visually annoying artifacts like TV channel logos, and much more.
Upscaling from 2K / FullHD to 4K / UltraHD with up to 18Gbps is available to display FullHD / 1080p sources at max. 4K / 2160p on your native 4K / UltraHD display.
Connect any 2K / FullHD sink display with 4K sources! Stream 4K with HDR via the main output and simultaneously feed older sink devices with the down-converted stream (4K HDR à 2K SDR) for perfect colors.
Any EDID or HTPC issue, HDMI/HDCP handshake problem as well as compatibility or revision issue can be solved with Vertex².
18Gbps HDR/SDR Splitter
One input splits to two outputs (2K/SDR & 4K/HDR). Each individual output can be used to upscale or downscale, based on your setup needs.
600 MHz Matrix
Vertex² can process two 4K HDR signals with up to 18Gbps simultaneously and apply scaling individually per channel.
Lab & Studio Toolkit
Public HTTP commands access and extensive control to extract, edit, inject or replace HDR metadata, AVI and VSIF Infoframe.
Decipher incoming HDR/HLG/DV metadata and AVI infoframes to build custom HDR metadata and AVI infoframes using the HDfury metadata and infoframe creator. Vertex² also translates HLG to HDR, replaces or boosts value from any metadata on the fly and can also simply disable all or just some of them. Vertex² support VSIF, AUD, HVS, HFV and others.
Five different EDID modes: Copy TX0 / TX1, fixed EDID, custom or Automix. In Automix mode, 13 EDID flags can be mixed through 5 EDID algorithms. Vertex² automatically detects and stores the mandatory DV string from connected DV capable sinks.
More than just a Scaler
In addition to the upscaling and downscaling capabilities, passthru and bypass modes are available, incl. chroma conversion, color space and color depth modification (8, 10, 12 and 16bit) for up to UltraHD / 2160p. Each output can be set with individual scaling rules.
Dedicated HDMI Audio Port
The dedicated HDMI Audio output supports any HDMI sound format to be extracted and forwarded to feed any AVR input. The video signal will be a 720p/1080p black frame.
Vertex² now supports ARC and eARC sound extraction (up to Atmos HBR) to be forwarded to any AVR input via ARC-Key. Extracted audio, e. g. from SmartTV apps will be output via HDMI.
Autoswitch any Source
Supports TMDS/pixel clock switching, capable of auto-switching sources that keep sending 5V in standby mode.
Advanced Web Server
The Web Server enables easy driver installation, superfast in-system firmware updates and wide compatibility with any web browser supporting device (PC/Smartphone).
View source name, resolution, chroma, color depth, color space, HDCP version, white point, max/min lum, various infoframes and many more, directly on OSD, OLED or via Webbrowser.
Vertex² is capable of sending any custom RS232 commands to any RS232 capable display, based on incoming signal types or particular metadata value. All Vertex² controls are available as RS232 and IP commands.
IR and Physical Control
Various physical buttons for configuration and control are available. An IR pronto code list has been added to iRule and Logitech Harmony for even easier and seamless integration.
CEC Total Commander
The Vertex² features a unique CEC command manager for CEC compatible equipment. With CEC commands, other HDMI devices can be controlled using Vertex².
Unique HDCP Doctor
With a total of 15 HDCP engines, Vertex² offers total HDCP workaround including bidirectional version conversion within the same unit. Feed older displays with current AV-streams.
Inside the HDCP Engine, the input is first decrypted. Then each output can individually re-encrypt it with the desired version or not encrypt it at all, if it was not encrypted initially. Dual conversion can be operated on all channels simultaneously.
