Transforming The Hippodrome Casino: A Just Add Power Case Study

Willow Communications were tasked with creating an AV system capable of managing multiple video sources across a range of displays, delivering crisp visuals with zero compromise on reliability. The solution needed to provide seamless switching, centralised control, and the flexibility to evolve with the venue’s needs.

To achieve this, Willow partnered with OneAV, who supplied Just Add Power AV over IP technology, and NETGEAR, the AV line switches forming the backbone of the network.

Across the venue, the main system features around 75 Just Add Power transmitters (including two tilers) and approximately 150 active receivers within those tilers. In Paddy’s Bar, a secondary system adds around 30 transmitters, 35 receivers, and three tilers, providing a total of well over 100 transmitters and 180 receivers in operation across the site, a remarkable example of scalable AV over IP deployment.

At the heart of the installation is Just Add Power’s AVoIP video distribution platform, enabling video content to be routed to any display across the venue with exceptional quality and minimal latency. Its modular architecture ensures the system can grow alongside the client’s ambitions, a vital advantage in fast-paced hospitality environments like The Hippodrome.

To complement the AV distribution, Willow integrated their Command Venue Control and Willow Media Digital Signage platforms, allowing staff to manage video sources, signage, and displays from one intuitive interface, improving both flexibility and efficiency in day-to-day operation.

The completed installation has transformed The Hippodrome Casino’s sports bar into a dynamic, engaging, and highly functional space. Guests can now enjoy an immersive viewing experience, with every screen displaying vibrant, synchronised content.
