InStyle Shallow Recess Profile
InStyle’s shallow recess extrusion is 25mm wide by 7mm in depth, and available in 1m or 2m lengths. It is designed to accommodate any of our LED tapes, and is ideal for shallow areas where you intend to install a recessed light strip. InStyle's shallow recess extrusion has a diffused cover, which allows light to shine through whilst dispersing the view of individual diodes on the LED tape inside. This gives your LED tape installation a more ‘finished’ look. (Shallow recess extrusions do not produce a completely smooth light beam, as to an extent you will still see individual LEDs. If you are looking for a completely smooth light beam, we recommend our deep recess mounted extrusion.)
Fixing your LED tape into an extrusion can create a more ‘finished’ look when compared to the unhoused PCB – which is ideal if the product is clearly on show. Shallow recess extrusions can help to prevent contact damage if the LED tape is positioned easily within reach. And even though they are not waterproof, extrusions can help prevent moisture. (To provide more protection against water, consider installing IP67 LED tape in the extrusions.)
InStyle's shallow recess extrusions are available in 1m or 2m lengths as standard. You can simply cut the extrusion the length you require using a hack saw.
Extrusions can be fixed into place using countersink screws, straight into the extrusion.
