Parasound 200 integrated Amplifier
The New Classic 200 Integrated amplifier & DAC represents a new generation of affordable high-performance audio products from Parasound. Bolstering the solid and highly regarded NewClassic series from Parasound after the sublime addition of the 200 PRE, the 200 Integrated will surely become a favourite of audiophiles and custom installers alike.
At the heart of the brand new 200 integrated is an all analogue signal path which includes analogue bass management with high and low pass outputs. The 200 Integrated has connections for just about any source including an MM/MC phono input, home theatre bypass, USB, Coax, optical as well as a front panel Auxiliary input with an automatic 12dB gain bump.
Although the New Classic 200 Integrated amplifier & DAC features exceptional analogue credentials, it also benefits from a powerful and adept 'digital' power amplifier internally. The Class D amplification is primarily provided by the experts at Pascal. This combination of the analogue and digital means that the New Classic 200 Integrated amplifier & DAC is subtle, discerning and hugely powerful when required - everything a class leading integrated amplifier should be. As such; the New Classic 200 Integrated power output is a healthy a 110 watts per channel into 8 ohms, which should satisfy in most higher quality applications and system scenarios.
The 200 Integrated also has a built in DAC, which features a Burr-Brown IC and the circuitry is pulled directly out of the award-winning Parasound Halo P5. Convenience and custom installation friendly features include a turn-on volume pre-set, a favourite volume setting, 2-way RS232 serial port, rear panel IR input and a 12V output trigger.
